About Print on Demand
Art of Madeleine's printed products are what is called "print-on-demand". This means that the print is only created when it is ordered, made just for you and shipped directly to the customer.
This helps reduce waste in unused inventory and allows for artworks to be created as each person orders it. Madeleine has chosen products that are as ecologically sustainable as possible, such as all prints are on FSC certified paper.*
They are all shipped plastic-free (unless they are bigger than A4 - 8.5x11" where they are shipped in a paper tube with small plastic ends).
Print production sources are chosen as close to it's destination as possible in EU, UK, USA or AU, to reduce shipping emissions.
* FSC stands for the "Forest Stewardship Council".
It is a global non-profit certification body ensuring sustainable sourcing from forest to consumer.

Materials
All papers, fabric and materials are chosen with the most ecologically responsible and regenerative elements possible at this stage. The store will continue to grow in it's ability to produce custom, joyful items that give back to the earth and her people.
Products are limited at this time because Madeleine has spent 2 + years researching and sampling products made from recycled / organic or / sustainably forested materials, that can be printed on demand, and shipped plastic free worldwide...it's hard to find! For now, all prints are on FSC* certified paper, and shipped plastic free, unless it's a bigger item that requires a paper tube (with a small plastic disk on the end).
She is on the path to continue developing the means to have more control over production and offer low batch custom regenerative items. The leap from creating music, which is very ethereal and weightless to share, towards creating and sharing physical art works and lifestyle goodies in integrity, is a big one!

What are the Ecological Values and motivation behind Art of Madeleine ?
Madeleine's motivation on earth is leave behind more flowers than she picks. In day to day life and in her livelihood, she strives to create in a way that considers the ecological impacts of her choices, and ideally creates more regeneration and abundance for the ecosystem.
Every step of Madeleine's process (even as a musician), has always been deeply committed to creating as little waste possible. This has meant choosing recycled and renewable resources, reduced packaging, and actively creating art that enhances and inspires regeneration and care of our magical world. She's spent years researching means of production that are the most recycled / renewable / ethical / plastic free as possible while also donating profits to organizations actively working towards enhancing ecological and cultural diversity, and care.
As we all know...no solution is perfect, even recycled and organic materials consume large amounts of water and electricity, and all shipping contributes to more greenhouse gas emissions and more. We all have an impact simply by existing...however she is committed to always being open to learn more and making the best choices she can. That's all we can do, the best we can!
