Watercolour Paintings

Madeleine picked up watercolour painting about 10 years ago as an adaptation to her nomadic lifestyle, while living as a traveling recording artist. Working in watercolour started out as a practical solution to limited studio space, the need for portability, and her desire for an ecologically lighter footprint.

She fell in love with the medium over time appreciating the simplicity of water, colour, paper and the medium's capacity to emanate light and transparency. Her watercolour works reflect depictions of delicate beauty, spaciousness, lightness and wonder.
