Pan Dulce - Que rico!

In most places in Mexico...you'll find people pedalling around with big baskets or walking around with woven sombreros, overflowing with fresh baked "pan dulce" - Sweet bread.

The shapes, colours and textures of each have names and flavours that you can enjoy across the country with slight variations. Often the bread is baked in giant wood fired clay ovens ...and then distributed in these baskets across towns or in local shops. They are so cute and precious that I love to paint them! 

This painting was a quick study (I plan on doing more detailed paintings in the future) as I was craving pan dulce one day and decided to do a quick sketch :)
